Neighbours for a Noise-Smart Railway

We are neighbours working together to protect the character, safety, and quality of life in our community as the railway expands.

We are not against the railway.

We want to protect the neighbourhood.

Now is the time to do it right.

What We Stand For

Our advocacy is rooted in the shared values of Oakcrest residents. Together, we're making our voices heard where it matters most.

Community Voice

Every signature on our petition amplifies our collective message to the Provincial Legislature. Your voice matters.

Neighbourhood Integrity

We advocate for policies that preserve the character and livability of Oakcrest for current and future residents.

Transparent Action

We keep our community informed at every step, with open communication and shared resources for all to access.

The Problem Is Real

Metrolinx's own environmental assessment found that vibration levels at homes along the railway are projected to reach 300% to 650% above acceptable objectives. Freight trains are the worst offenders, but GO and VIA trains also exceed safe levels.

These aren't our numbers — they come directly from the 2021 GO Rail Network Electrification noise and vibration report. The data confirms what residents have been feeling for years.

Our Neighbourhood

Oakcrest sits on a richly wooded ridge, part of the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Our community has a deep history intertwined with the railway.
